Quail Fire

On July 3rd, about 2:15 p.m., we noticed a fire in the not-too-distant area.  We all -- my co-workers and I -- stood outside watching as the fire raged into a major disaster.  Here are a few of the photos I took:

Look at the white top edge of the smoke...

It's spreading out...

It was so scary, worrying about people whose homes were in that area, worrying about the 3,000 propane tank in the path of the fire, watching the planes and helicopters flying overhead dispensing chemicals, listening to the sirens, etc.

Then on July 5th, just two days later, a massive rain storm came seemingly out of nowhere.  This is what it looked like after the rain...

God does hear and answer prayers...

Life is good...
